The 63rd Vietnam’s National Day and the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-Bangladesh diplomatic relation celebrations in Dhaka.

Dhaka, in the evening of September 2nd 2008, the Ambassador of Vietnam to Bangladesh Nguyen Van That hosted a banquet to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-Bangladesh diplomatic relation and the 63rd Vietnam’s National Day. The participation of many overseas Vietnamese, Bangladeshis from different organizations and companies, and local and international diplomats and media have contributed to the success of the celebration.

Ms.Rasheda K.Choudhury, Hon’ble Aviser to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Ministry of Cultural Affairs , in her speech on behalf of the Bangladesh Government, has expressed Bangladesh’s warmest greetings on the occasion, as well as the expectation to see the both country’s relations to be further strengthened and developed.

Ambassador That reviewed the development of the two countries’ relations over the past 35 years, which saw progresses particularly in the economic-trade field. The two-way trade over the recent years recorded an annual growth rate of 20 percent, and is expected to reach 100 million USD this year.

The Vietnamese Embassy in coordination with Bangladeshi travel agencies organized a display of embroidery paintings of Vietnam’s landscapes and people.
