Vietnam participating in the organization of the “Intentional Francophone Days - 2008” in Bangladesh |

On the occasion of the International Francophone Day (March 20th, 2008), the Vietnam Embassy in Bangladesh, in co-operation with other embassies in the Francophone Community and Alliance Francaise de Dacca, organized the “ International Francophone Days - 2008” with the topic “Dialogue Among Cultures” in the center of the discussions.

The program that will last for 3 weeks in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and in some other big cities comprises many activities: press conferences for promoting the program, cultural exhibitions, diffusion of member countries’ movies and Francophone Gala evening. The organization board also has issued many propaganda publications, leaflets, and posters, to bring detailed information about the Francophone Community and to present the main points of the member countries’ culture.
Vietnam will also contribute its part to the exhibitions on this occasion, presenting the interesting features of the country, the people and the tourism potential in Vietnam. The main tourist attraction events of Vietnam in the year 2008 such as the Mekong Tourist Festival, Festival Hue 2008, the election campaign for selecting 7 natural wonders of the world, with participation of Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha Ke Bang cavern, and the ecological tourist area Sapa- Phanxipang, are in the center of the exhibitions. Besides, other cultural activities of Vietnam are also presented, including the Global Summit of Women in June 2008 in Vietnam. On the same occasion, together with other Embassies, the Vietnam Embassy has organized a food gathering at the French-speaking gala evening with typical dishes from many countries.
